About our client: Our client is the AI platform for financial services. Our flagship product, Tax Autopilot, automates end-to-end tax preparation for CPA and accounting firms, integrating with the major tax software platforms they already use. In April 2026, Tax Autopilot became generally available after two years in early access with 40% of the Top 20 CPA firms in the country. We are currently the fastest-growing vertical AI company as we rapidly onboard firms off our 4,000+ firm waitlist, having delivered >99% accuracy, >98% autonomy, up to 98% time savings per return, and up to 80% cost savings across multiple tax seasons. Founded in 2022, we launched with $60 million in early stage funding from some of the world’s leading investors including a16z, Founders Fund, General Catalyst, Khosla Ventures, Oak HC/FT, Trust Ventures and leading tech founders/angel investors including Jason Gardner (Founder and CEO of Marqeta), Max Levchin (Founder of Paypal and Affirm), Tom Glocer (Former CEO of Thomson Reuters), Gokul Rajaram, and Mark Britto (EVP, CPO, PayPal). You will own full-cycle recruiting across engineering, AI, product, sales, and operations as Black Ore scales from 50 to 100+ over the coming years. Today's pace is ~1-2 hires per month, but the work is foundational: you are building the recruiting engine, the hiring bar, and the playbook every future hire will run through. You are the first and only recruiter for at least six to twelve months. You will personally source, screen, close, and onboard every new hire. The difficulty is not convincing people to join. It is maintaining quality and being methodical about each placement as the business accelerates. What You'll Own: Full-Cycle Recruiting Own sourcing, screening, closing, and onboarding across engineering, AI, product, sales, and operations Build relationships with high-caliber candidates inside and outside your network Run a hiring process that holds quality steady as volume climbs Calibration and Hiring Bar: Partner with the CEO, CTO, and VP Ops to define hiring bar and calibrate on talent Partner with VP Product and VP Sales as roles open across their functions Leverage data on comp, candidate pools, and competitive offers in every search Foundation for Scale: Build recruiting workflows, frameworks, and tooling to scale from 50 to 100+ Stand up the systems, dashboards, and reporting that the future team will inherit Document the hiring bar so it survives volume increases and headcount changes Requirements: Must-Have 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience at a high-growth startup with a strong technical or engineering hiring focus Demonstrated track record building out technical teams and hiring across multiple disciplines (engineering, AI, product, GTM) Hands-on operator willing to personally source, screen, and close. No expectation to delegate to sourcers or coordinators.
